A Visit to Securities Commission KL at Bukit Kiara

Have you ever been to the Malaysian Securities Commission at Bukit Kiara? I though it would be a Normal Government Building which is located in a highly Populated area. And man was I proven wrong.

Securities Commission KL is located at Bukit Kiara, which is nicely (and very far) located near Persiaran Bukit Kiara. And to my amazement, I though the place would be another normal Government Office..

Well, early in the morning at 6a.m., I had to woke up in my nice Rm165 per night Cititel MidValley Hotel Room (yes, its juts RM165, you can book online at http://www.cititelmidvalley.com/ to get it at Cheaper Rate).

Surprisingly, the View of KL Never changes, its still always traffic Jam, hot, humid and dry and I feel so hectic just to wake up at 6a.m. in the morning to get a Taxi to SC at 7a.m. just to avoid the Morning Heavy Jam. If you ask me, do I wanna work in KL? My Answer is definitely No! Unless I can wake up at 10a.m. and sleep at 11p.m. else forget it.

It was Hari Raya season but to be frank I dont' really feel much of the Hari Raya Mood at MidValley there except a very beautiful Landscape in the Middle of the Center Court of MidValley for Decoration Purposes. I manage to grab a photo there and then just go grab my dinner which I was starving to have.

Ok Anyway, I woke up at 6a.m. to grab a Taxi at 7:45a.m. Taxi fare was about Rm10, took about 15 mins to get to SC around 8a.m. when I arrive at Securities Commision KL at Bukit Kiara. And to my amazement, this was my expression when I first walked into the Lobby........

This is how the Lobby Looks like.........

Another part of the Lobby.

As I walk pass the Lobby and near the Lift Corridor, this was what I saw, and my god it was astonishing........

This is the Lift Corridor... My god..... Remind me of Kuching Sarawak Timber Association Building, only its more beautiful.

I went to grab lunch at the Ground Floor Cafeteria after my 1st Exam. To my Amazement, it even looks more beautiful and more stylish than our Kuching Spring Food Court. And this is just a Federal Government Building...... I don't think we got any LCD in any of our Kuching Cafeteria's here.

Anybody Home?

Watching LCD TV as I am having Lunch. Reminds me of Home. Too Bad its not a Sony 40" TV.

I was worried the staff serving me was be a bit moody seeing I was one of the only few customers at that time. But they were quite friendly and have quite a variety of food (Including Roasted Chicken). Normally I am very sensitive to some of the KL Oily Foods, but this meal was ok for my stomach to consume.

There were no glommy face that I can see and every one was quite friendly. Tension from the Exams perhaps turned my appetite off. I was worried I wont' be able to have any lunch as it was Puasa for most of the Government Staff. As you can see from the photos, the Cafeteria was quite empty and not much ppl due to the Ramadan Fasting Month.

Very Important Note: Its best that you fix a time with the Taxi to pick you up if you are going to take the afternoon Session Exams, by the time I finish at 4:30p.m. Plus remember to do Online check in if you are taking the 7:40p.m. AirAsia Flight back to Kuching.

It was so difficult for me to get a Taxi at 5p.m. because Bukit Kiara & Mt. Kiara is high class residential area which hardly got many taxis. I had to make phone calls to 5 different Taxi Cab Companies and add extra RM5 just to get a Taxi to take me back to MidValley, and it was heavy Traffic Jam after 5p.m...

The Next Day I almost miss my last Kuching Flight back home because of the Heavy Traffic Jam at KL. My Flight was 7:40p.m. and I was still stuck at KL City at 6:30p.m. My sincere thanks to the Taxi Driver whom I paid RM100, he took the new highway and speed as fast as 165km in his Iswara Taxi (and I though I was in the New Proton BMW Model) which flew pass almost any car on the highway.

It was 7:30p.m. when I reach LCCT KLIA. To my amazement, I don't think I have ever ran faster than I have that night to rush into to board my flight. I was the Last Passenger to board the plane and every one was wondering how much Calories I have lost running from the Departure Hall... haha

Luckily I ask my KL friend to do online check in for me. Else there is no way I could have board the plane and I would have to spend the night at LCCT and take the next morning flight home with extra cost again. Many thanks to Addy Kho for helping me out!
